Go to OVTA by yourselves
This page gives information for those who go to OVTA by themselves.
Taxi is not recommended for the long distance taxi is quite expensive.
Please consult the station offices for details.
The nearest station is JR train "Makuhari" (Sobu Line, yellow local train) or "Kaihin-Makuhari" (Keiyo Line). From there you may take a taxi to OVTA. See the OVTA home page "Access to OVTA":

- From Narita Airport
- The best way is to take the JR train to "Makuhari".(Not to go to "Keisei" station which is neighbored to the JR).
- Take the JR train Rapid (or "Kaisoku" in Japanese) bound for Tokyo area at the airport station. The trains leave every hour.
- The train will take you to "Inage" station (just after the huge "Chiba" station) in a bit less than one hour.
- At "Inage" change to the yellow local train westbound for "Nakano" or "Mitaka", which leaves frequently.
- Get off the train at "Makuhari" station (second station from "Inage").
- From Yokohama and Shinagawa areas
- The best way is to take the JR train to "Makuhari".
- From JR Yokohama or Shinagawa station, you take the JR Sobu-Yokosuka Line bound for "Tokyo" and "Chiba". There are frequent trains directing "Tokyo" station.
- The train will take you to "Tsudanuma" station via "Tokyo" station.
- At "Tsudanuma" station you change to the yellow local train bound for Chiba (at Track No. 4) and get off the train at "Makuhari" station (second stop from Tsudanuma).
- From "Tokyo" station
- The best way is to take the JR Keiyo Line to "Kaihin-Makuhari"
- The JR Keiyo Line trains leave from the Keiyo Line underground platform of Tokyo station. It is ten minutes walk from the ground level entrances or the exit gate of Shinkansen bullet train. Moving corridors are available.
- Take the rapid or local train bound for "Soga". It will take you to "Kaihin-Makuhari" station in 30-40 minutes. (Caution: Do not get on the trains bound for "Fuchu-Honmachi"!)
- From Shinjuku area
- The most convenient way is to take the JR Sobu Line yellow local train, although not the fastest.
- At JR "Shinjuku" station, take the Sobu Line yellow local train bound for "Chiba" (Track No. 13). The trains leave frequently and take you to "Makuhari" station in a bit less than an hour.
- From Ueno and Nippori area
- There are two options. One is to take JR Yamanote Line and change to Sobu Line yellow local train bound for "Chiba" at "Akihabara" station. The other is to take Keisei Line to "Keisei Makuhari".
- From "Keisei Ueno" or "Keisei Nippori" station, take Keisei Line for "Keisei Tsudanuma". All the trains except "Skyliner" (directing Narita Airport) stop at "Keisei Tsudanuma" (in 35 to 60 minutes, depending on the class of the train).
- At "Keisei Tsudanuma" change to the Keisei Chiba Line train and get off at "Keisei Makuhari" (second station from "Keisei Tsudanuma").
- From Haneda Airport
- There are frequent bus services by Airport Limousine for Makuhari and Chiba area. Visit the Airport Limousine counter on arrival and buy the ticket. The buses take you to "Kaihin Makuhari" bus stop in 45-60 minutes.
There would be a variety of options to each direction.
