Request of IUPAC Support
IUPAC support for IChO

IUPAC generously offered IChO an annual donation of ten thousand US dollars.
The objective of this donation is to support the participation of countries with limited financial resources. Countries are invited to apply for financial support to attend the 42nd IChO in 2010 in Japan. The Steering Committee decides on the applications at its meeting in December 2009. The decision of the Steering Committee on the list of supported countries will be available on the 42nd IChO web site in December 2009.

The priorities for the use of this support are:

  1. bringing additional students if there are less than four in the team
  2. bringing an additional mentor if there are less than two,
  3. support to reduce the participation fee of a country

The Steering Committee accepts applications from the Head Mentor of any participating country until 30 November 2009.

Your application should contain the following data:

  • Name of the country
  • Name and contact details of the Head Mentor
  • Type of support requested
  • Amount of support requested
  • Explanation why the support is needed
